Our goal is to help our students find the best college for them, as individuals, based on their future goals (even if uncertain) and the type of social and academic environment they seek. We offer guidance at every step in the process of college admissions, from figuring out which classes to take or extracurricular activities to pursue to suggesting college lists and ensuring their applications and essays present them in the strongest light. College will be the new “home” for students for the next few years, as they gain independence and mature into adulthood. With more students applying to more colleges, the entire application process can feel overwhelming. Our experienced college counselors can help you streamline and navigate this process.
We offer an Excel pathways program for ninth through eleventh grade students, whereby we guide students in choosing the right classes and extracurricular activities; considering potential majors based on individual interests; developing unique passion projects; and applying to summer internship and research programs.
Additionally, just before the student’s senior year, we offer college counseling packages to guide students through the application process, including building a balanced college list – reaches, targets, and safeties – and developing a strong personal essay that reveals the student’s individual personality, as well as providing advice on how to write supplemental essays.
