Theme: Understanding Urban & Indoor Air Quality with Sensor Technology

Dates: Monday, June 9 β Friday, June 13, 2025 (5 days)

Eligibility: Current 9thβ11th graders with a GPA of 3.75 or higher

Spots Available: 5 students
- Program Tuition: $1800
π― Program Objectives

Learn about particulate matter ((PM 2.5 and PM 10) and environmental health
-
Provide training on using and interpreting data from PurpleAir Zen and SDL607 sensors.

Explore indoor-outdoor pollution dynamics through residential monitoring.

Map and analyze urban air quality variation around Las Vegas airport using sensors and mobile phone GPS.
-
*The result may contribute to a research note.
β Requirements

Outdoor power and WiFi access at their residences (where air quality will be measured)
-
Access to a computer or laptop (PC preferred)
-
Smartphone with GPS (iPhone or equivalent)

Bicycle (optional)
